Avery Emmert was born and raised in Dallas, Texas where she trained at Next Step Performing Arts Center and Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. In Spring of 2018, she choreographed a piece that was selected to perform on Cirque Du Soleil’s Zumanity stage in Las Vegas. Shortly after, she graduated from Chapman University as a dance major with a Bachelor in Fine Arts and a minor in Psychology. She’s had a privilege of working with choreographers and dancers such as Debbie Allen (Fame), Desmond Richardson and Dwight Rhoden (Complexions Contemporary Ballet), Robert Battle (Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater), Brian Nicholson (Choreographer for Ariana Grade) and many more. She is passionate about teaching Choreography and technique to all ages in hopes of inspiring new generations.
