Get Ready to Shine: Your Ultimate Guide to Recital Season
It’s official—Recital Season Planning is here, and we couldn’t be more thrilled! This is the moment we’ve all been waiting for: the chance to see our dancers take the stage and shine under the spotlight. At Reach for the Barres, our annual recital is more than just a show; it’s a celebration of growth, teamwork, and passion.
The 2024 Recital Handbook is now available, packed with everything you need to know about this unforgettable event. From costume details and ticket purchasing to recital day procedures, it’s your one-stop guide for ensuring a seamless experience. Whether you’re a first-time recital parent or a seasoned participant, this handbook has something for everyone.
What is the dance recital?
The recital is a non-competitive celebration for our entire studio! Your child will perform on stage at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre alongside their class to a song choreographed by their teacher and wearing a beautiful costume chosen just for them.
Should your child be a part of the recital?
Absolutely! Our dance recital is a joyful tradition filled with community spirit and fun. From toddlers to seasoned students, the recital is an opportunity for your child to showcase their progress, perform for a live audience, and make unforgettable memories. While we can’t guarantee all toddlers will dance, but we promise watching their efforts will bring laughter, joy, and the price of admission.
Why You’ll Love Our Reach Recital
This year’s recital promises to be our most spectacular yet. Picture it: dazzling costumes, inspiring performances, and an electric energy that fills the theatre. It’s the highlight of the season—a moment that dancers, families, and friends will remember forever. We’ve worked tirelessly to make this experience as magical and stress-free as possible, with clear guidelines and helpful tips laid out in the handbook.
If you’ve ever doubted the power of dance to bring joy and community together, this recital will change your mind. It’s where hard work meets applause and dreams come alive.
Is participation mandatory?
Participation in the recital is completely optional, though we encourage it as a wonderful way to celebrate the season. From February through June, our teachers and classes focus on creating a choreographed routine that culminates in the recital. Even if your child opts not to perform, they’ll still learn and enjoy the choreography with their classmates. For those joining the recital, costumes must be ordered and payments processed by the deadline.
