Age Guidelines & Placement
At Reach For The Barres, our classes follow age guidelines established specifically for our dance curriculum and developmental pathway.
While schools, preschools, transitional kindergarten programs, and public school districts may use different age cutoffs and placement criteria, Reach For The Barres operates as an independent educational program with its own progression model designed specifically for dance education.
Because dancers attend for a limited amount of time each week, thoughtful class placement is essential to creating successful learning environments. Our age guidelines have been developed to support the social, emotional, physical, and developmental needs of our dancers while allowing classes to progress together throughout the season.
For Season 12, dancers must meet the age requirements for their class as of August 1, 2026.
While every child is unique, our goal is to create consistent standards that support the long-term growth and success of all dancers. As our community grows, these standards help ensure fairness, clarity, and the best possible experience for every family.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
· All REACH tuition (and fees) are NON-REFUNDABLE.
· NO CREDITS or REFUNDS will be given for dropped, missed or canceled lessons, at any time; this includes in-studio, virtual, mobile/outdoor and/or private lessons.
· There are NO EXCEPTIONS to this policy. As well as NO TRANSFERS.
· To cancel your enrollment please complete a CANCELLATION REQUEST
PAYMENT POLICIES + FINE PRINT:
· Full-session enrollment is required. Pro-rates will be provided if you start after the start of our 36 week season.
· Auto Pay enrollment is required. We run payments for Trimesters of 12 week cycles, Recital Costume Payments, and any administrative fee when necessary (ex. late payments, late pickup, etc) .
· Trimester payments are run two weeks before the last class of each trimester.
· Any payment made after the last class of the trimester is subject to a $40, late fee every week dancer’s tuition is left unpaid.
· Teachers are subject to change as needed.
· We reserve the right to refuse service. Any family who cannot abide or respect our policies may be asked to leave at no cost to the studio.
· ALL POLICIES may be reviewed here before enrolling your dancer.
Be sure you have thoroughly read, and fully understand that by enrolling that you’re agreeing to be bound by the terms of these Terms & Conditions as there will be no refunds. These Terms & Conditions will govern your child’s current and future participation in Reach For The Barres dance program.
