In 2023 we want to take time to recognize all the wonderful people that make this studio possible. We have an amazing staff with qualifications out of the roof… but they are more than just dancers and educators. So for the next couple of weeks, we will be getting to know the humans behind the teacher, and their little fun facts. 

This week we are diving into the little details of Miss Iydan! 

There are many colors out there in the world, and she couldn’t possibly choose just one. The colors that have caught attention of Miss Iydan are PINK🌸 & PURPLE💜! Two colors that seems like cousins. Purple is the color of royalty, and pink makes us think of all things sweet. So we completely understand why she loves them so.

When it comes to food Miss Iydan loves the savory goodness of a good french fry! They pair well with just about anything, and come in many forms. You can dress them up any way you’d like, or keep them simple and salty. Truly who doesn’t love a good ‘ol french fry now and then? 

Music is the love language of one Miss Iydan❤️. It’s a big part of who she is. Her favorite song is constantly changing. But with all the music out there how could it not for such a music lover🎵? Today the songs that get her heart singing is ‘Do It’ by Chloe X Halle and ‘Lovergirl’ by Teena Marie. 

Just like with song our teacher of the week believes there are too many amazing artists out there to pick just one☝️. So here are a few at the top of her long list of song birds🎤🦜: Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Doja Cat, Mariah Carey, and Brandy!

We are made a memories☁️, and as we grow older we become a product all the things we have experienced along the way. Some memories stick our more than others💬. At the end of the day memories are things we have to old onto throughout our life time. Miss Iydan’s all time favorite memories were made during the summer in her home state of main with her family.🌲

Even though everyone here is an amazing dancer our teachers are much more than that. Outside of the studio, Miss Iydan loves anything related to making and listening to music🎼 . When she wants to relax she loves to crack open a book 📚 or get to some writing of down of her own. If she needs a little brain teacher that calms the soul at the same time she will take to a puzzle.🧩

Possessions can come in many different shapes or forms. Some things are tangible, others are things that live within us like the memories we hold from walking through life. Miss Iydan’s most prized possession is her journals📓. She loves writing ✍️ and keeping all the journals that she’s written over the years.

Our teachers here at Reach For the Barres are fountains of knowledge⛲️. They are people who are full of amazing advice. What Miss Iydan would like to pass on to the students here is “Try EVERYTHING. You’re never gonna now where you’re gonna find your passion, or maybe meet your new best friend, so don’t be afraid to step out of your box.”💕

These are just a few of the things that make Miss Iydan so special!

This week we are diving into the little details of Miss Avery! 

There are many colors in the rainbow, but the one that has caught the eye of Miss Avery is PURPLE💜! Who doesn’t appreciate a dash of drama the color purple can bring t0 any situation every once in a while? Some of the best fruits and flowers are this color! That’s reason enough to enjoy the color!

When it comes to food Miss Avery will never turn down the opportunity to indulge in some sushi🍣! There is never a bad time for sushi. It pairs well with summer, and can give you comfort in the winter. There is a million ways to enjoy this food! What is your favorite sushi roll? 😍 

Japanese Breakfast has plenty of good music for every listener to enjoy, but when it comes to favorites the song that can brighten any day for Miss Avery’s  is ‘Sweet’🍬Next time you’re feeling a little down and out pop on this song and we promise those spirits will be lifted! 🌈

Miss Avery may love the song ‘Sweet’, but she has two artists she holds near and dear! Her top picks are Frank Ocean & Mac Miller. Solid choices that we simply couldn’t argue their greatness! 🙌

She has done a lot in her life, but there is nothing like a childhood memory⛅️ that sticks with you forever. Miss Avery looks back fondly of the times that should got to travel to NYC🌆 with her Grammy. An amazing city with a person you love is never bad time spent! 

Even though everyone here is an amazing dancer our teachers are much more than that. Outside of the studio, Miss Avery to snuggle up and watch a movie🍿, cook a delicious meal 🥘 , and spend time with the great outside on a beautiful hike🌲. But of course, she also loves to dance.

We have many possessions throughout life. Some are memories or a special gift given to us by someone we love. A lot of our teachers cherish our pets, and so does Miss Avery. She would say her cat Kitten Mittens 🐱is her most prized possession. We’ve come to find out pretty much all of our teachers have a furry friend waiting for them at the end of the day😻

Our teachers here at Reach For the Barres are fountains of knowledge⛲️. They are people who are full of amazing advice. What Miss Avery would like to pass on to the students here is “Always keep your head held high and be proud of who you are meant to be.”💕

This week we are diving into the little details of Miss Raquel!

There are many colors in the rainbow, but the one that has caught Miss Raquel’s eye is Burgundy! 🍇 A unique color that most people look over, but we see why she loves it. This color makes us think of all things cozy🧣nd who doesn’t love that?!

When it comes to food Miss Raquel will never turn down the chance to enjoy a chocolate chip cookie🍪. The best time to enjoy this savory treat is truly anytime your sweet tooth has a crazing🦷 It pairs well with any season. Especially the chilly winter nights. Warm & sweet! Just like Miss Raquel. 

Jack Johnson has a way with words and melodies that can fill you with comfort. If you haven’t listened to him we highly recommend you do the next time you get in your 🚗 But the song Miss Raquel loves the most from Jack Johnson is “Together”🫂 

Miss Raquel may love the song ‘Together’, but her favorite Artist of all time is THE KILLERS! And we can’t argue with that choice. I don’t think there is anyone who doesn’t know their song ‘Mr. Brightside’ ☀️ Their music stands the test of time, and can always get you up dancing and singing along 🎤

We are product of all our memories. They make up who we are today. And Miss Raquel wouldn’t be the same without her favorite memory💕. She looks back fondly on spending summers in South Padre with all her cousins.

Miss Raquel is one amazing teacher, but she loves many things outside of dance. When she isn’t leading the next generation of movers to success she loves to cook up delicious meals. 🍲 YUM. When it’s time to hunker down and relax she loves to crack open a good book📚.  Last and certainly not least Miss Raquel loved to walk on the beach at sunset 🌅

This week we are diving into the little details of Miss Bea!

When it comes to color Miss Bea couldn’t pick just one! Her heart belongs not to one, but to two. Some of the prettiest things are the color pink. So of course this is one that as stole her heart💕. When it comes to the color gold it represents generosity and compassion. One of the many reason it’s perfect color for our honey Bea🐝.

Fun fact about Miss Bea she is from Brazil 🇧🇷. So when it comes to food she can’t help but find the food from home to be her favorite. Especially their meat! But she also can never turn down sushi 🍣, or a night in with pizza 🍕! 

Music is our language of love  ❤️ , and with there being soo much good music it truly is hard to pick one favorite song 🎵 . And our teacher of the week couldn’t agree with us more. So here are a few of the ones that have inspired Miss Bea: ‘The Climb’ Hannah Montana LOL 😂, ‘Someone’s Watching Over Me’ Hilary Duff, and ‘You Will Be Found’ From Dear Evan Hansen. 

Just like how she feels about color and song she simply cannot pick one favorite artist. When it comes to favorites Miss Bea has 3️⃣! They all share something in common..they top the charts in pop music. We can’t blame her for her taste in music. I think we all love a little Justin Bieber and Harry Styles moment in our days☀️. Plus there is something about the nostalgia of the Jonas Brothers that make them extra good👍🏼.

We are a sum of our memories. They make us who we are! The ones Miss Bea cherishes the most are the trips she takes every year with her family🏠 for the holidays. She will never turn down the chance to get everyone together and see somewhere 🆕.

Outside of the studio our teacher lead great lives, have many hobbies, and love to fill their time with fun. When Miss Bea isn’t here with us spreading the love of dance she likes to spend the day at a theme park🎢! As we know she loves music 🎶 and what better way for her to enjoy music than at live concerts. With all that adventure and fun she also loves to keep it calm and see a good movie while loading up on snacks🍿.

Possessions come in many different forms. We all have different things we hold near and dear to us🫂. What is super special to Miss Bea is her family. She would call them her most prized possession🎁. Which we sure can relate on. There is nothing more special than a strong and loving family unit. 

As always our teachers are full of knowledge and experience🧠. They bring so much to the table that travels far beyond the ability to teach dance🩰. When it comes to advice we have some of the best sitting within our teaching staff. What Miss Bea would like to pass onto her students is “Be patient, be in the moment, don’t give up.” 💪🏼
