This payment makes up the third payment cycle of our 2023/2024 Main Season Classes, which will be broken up into 3 trimester payments:

THIS PAYMENT COVERS YOUR DANCER’S COMPANY CLASS + BALLET TECH CLASS FOR THE SPRING TRIMESTER

 

Mini Company is a 135 min accelerated program, which will begin on Mondays at 5PM, and includes a separate ballet technique class. Mini Company is under the direction of Reyana + Leighanna. 

 

DRESS CODE + SHOE REQUIREMENTS FOR MINI COMPANY DANCERS:

Ballet Technique: Solid black leotard, pink tights, hair pulled back in a secure bun. Ballet Slippers. No Jewelry.

Company Class: Dance Wear such as pants/lettings/shorts or dance skirt may be worn over ballet tech required dance wear. Jazz shoes. Dance Bag.

Because of the limited capacity and high demand ALL REACH tuition (and fees) are NON-REFUNDABLE. NO MAKEUPS, CREDITS or REFUNDS will be given for dropped, missed or canceled classes, camps or events; this includes in-studio, virtual, mobile/outdoor and/or private lessons. Even if you know you will miss ahead of time.

There are NO EXCEPTIONS to this policy. NOR TRANSFERS.

 


FORCED or MANDATORY CLOSURES: If classes/lessons/camps/events are cancelled due to mandated local community/city/county/state/regional/federal restrictions (such as force majeure, including but not limited to COVID) everyone will be credited for a future date.  NO refunds will be given.

REACH FOR THE BARRES - OFFICIAL STUDIO POLICIES

Welcome to Reach For The Barres! We are thrilled to have your family as part of our dance community. These policies are designed to ensure a joyful, safe, and organized experience for everyone. Your understanding and agreement to these policies are essential for enrollment and continued participation in our programs.

 

I. WELCOME & COMMUNICATION

  • Email Communication: Upon enrolling, you will receive important emails from us, including class confirmations from "reyana@reachforthebarres.com" and receipts/confirmations of purchase. We encourage you to save our email addresses to ensure confirmations and announcements reach your inbox.
  • Customer Portal: Each family has access to our convenient online Customer Portal and a dedicated mobile app designed to manage your dancer's account, payments, and class registrations simple and accessible. It is your responsibility to keep all your information — including contact details, payment methods, and your dancer's school grade — correct and up-to-date within the portal. You can sign up or log in to your portal directly from the homepage of our website.
  • The Reach For The Barres App: For even greater convenience and organization, download our official app! It puts the power of dance management right in the palm of your hand, making everything easy to access.
  • Policy Acknowledgement: When registering through the portal, a parent or guardian will be required to digitally sign off on all RFTB policies. This ensures everyone is aware of our guidelines for a joyful and smooth experience.
  • Verification for Current Students: For our returning dance families, please take a moment to log into your portal and verify that all your contact information, payment details, and your dancer's school grade are current and correct. After registering for classes, please double-check that all your dancer's enrolled classes are accurately reflected in your customer portal.

II. ENROLLMENT & CLASS LOGISTICS

  • Age Appropriateness: All dancers must be age appropriate for their class by September 1st, with no exceptions.
  • Potty Training: All dancers must be potty trained to attend any transitioned class ages 2.5 and up.
  • Class Lengths:
    • For toddlers and Kindergartners, classes are 45 minutes.
    • For Primary classes, classes are 50 minutes.
    • For Level 1 and up, classes are 60 minutes.
  • Full Session Enrollment: Full session enrollment is required for our Main Season classes.
  • Enrollment Closing: Our enrollment for the Main Season will remain open until a class is full, or until April 1st, whichever comes first.
  • Teacher Changes: Teachers are subject to change as needed.
  • Class Enrollment Non-Transferable: Class enrollment is non-transferable. Class spots cannot be given or transferred to another child, including siblings.

 

III. TUITION & PAYMENT POLICIES

  • Tuition & Fees Non-Refundable: All Reach For The Barres tuition and fees are non-refundable. This policy applies universally, meaning no credits, refunds, or transfers will be given for dropped, missed, or canceled classes, camps, parties, or special events. This includes in-studio, virtual, mobile/outdoor, and/or private lessons. There are no exceptions to this policy.
  • Mid-Season Enrollment: If you enroll mid-season, your tuition will be prorated based on your start date.
  • Tuition Not Based on Attendance: Tuition is for enrollment and securing a reserved spot, not based on attendance.
  • Trimester Payments: Trimester payments are due before the last class of each trimester. For specific auto-draft dates for Season 11, please refer to the Season 11 Tuition & AutoPay Agreement.
  • Late Fees: Any payment that is not successfully processed by its due date is subject to an administrative late fee of $40, as detailed in our AutoPay Terms & Agreement Policy.
  • AutoPay Agreement: By enrolling your dancer for Season 11, you are agreeing to be automatically drafted for all tuition and applicable fees. For full terms and conditions regarding AutoPay, please refer to our comprehensive AutoPay Terms & Agreement Policy.

 

IV. CLASS SPECIFIC POLICIES

  • Dress Code & Shoe Requirements: All dancers are expected to follow our dress code and shoe requirements. For a comprehensive guide, please visit the DRESS CODE + SHOE REQUIREMENTS section of our website at reachforthebarres.com/dresscode. These details are also included in every class description.
  • Recreational Class Make-Up Policy:
    • Recreational students are permitted to make up up to one (1) missed class per dancer per trimester. Make-up opportunities are exclusively for actively enrolled recreational students and are non-transferable. A dancer must be actively enrolled in a current paid trimester to utilize a make-up class, even if the 60-day make-up window extends into a subsequent trimester.
    • Make-up classes must be completed within 60 days of the missed class date. They do not roll over into subsequent trimesters or into a new season.
    • The make-up class does not have to be in the same style of dance as the missed class, but it must be taken within the same age group or level to ensure a comfortable and appropriate learning experience for your dancer.
    • To schedule a make-up class, you must contact the studio via email at dance@reachforthebarres.com or by phone at 213-280-8074 at least one (1) day in advance, during our office hours (typically 9 AM - 5 PM). Make-up classes can be scheduled no more than two weeks in advance. Please note: Make-up classes cannot be scheduled ahead of a missed class.
    • All make-up classes are available on a first-come, first-served basis, are subject to availability, and are NOT GUARANTEED. We will do our best to find a suitable option, but availability is limited, particularly in popular classes.
    • If you need to cancel a scheduled make-up class, you must provide at least 24 hours' notice. Failure to do so will result in the forfeiture of that make-up opportunity.
    • If your child is sick, please prioritize their health and the health of our dance community by keeping them home from class. Once they are feeling better, please contact us via email or phone to schedule their make-up class.

 

V. STUDIO ENVIRONMENT & CONDUCT

  • Kindness + Respect: Our goal is to foster a positive learning environment filled with creativity and camaraderie for both our students and parents. You and your child agree to treat all participants of Reach For The Barres Dance Studio with kindness and respect. No bullying of any kind – verbal, physical, social, or online – will be tolerated. Please refer to our full Student & Parent Code of Conduct / Studio Etiquette Agreement for complete details.
  • Safety First: The safety of your child and all children in our studio is our top priority. Our Faculty are all First Aid + CPR Certified. You acknowledge that your child has no physical, emotional, or social conditions that would make it dangerous or unwise for them to safely participate in our programs. Please refer to our Permission to Participate & Release of Liability Waiver for full details.
  • Drop-Off Only Classes: Classes are drop-off only. We encourage kids' confidence in all of our classes. Mini + Me classes are the only exception where a parent/caregiver participates.
  • Pick-Up and Drop-Off Procedures: Please refer to our Pick-Up and Drop-Off Policy Agreement for detailed procedures on arrival and departure. All children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver and supervised on campus at all times unless they are actively in a scheduled class. Late pickups are subject to late fees.
  • Classroom Access: Parents, friends, or siblings are not allowed in the classroom at any time. This is for the benefit of your child, as they learn more with their complete attention on the instructor. They may be viewed from our closed circuit cameras remotely. Access is given prior to first class to the email address used to register. Viewing windows will be open during the first month of our Main Season, and then during the first full week of each month.
  • Studio Safety & Conduct:
    • No running or climbing on any indoor or outdoor furniture. Running in the studio is dangerous for both your child and others.
    • No cell phones, smartwatches (like Apple Watch), or smart earphones (like Air Pods) are allowed in the dance rooms at any time. If they are inside a dance bag, they should be turned off. If dancers are found using these in class, they will be asked to remove them and take them to front desk staff for safekeeping until class is over.
    • Only self-sealing water bottles are permitted in the studio for Primary class dancers and older. For dancers under Primary class age (toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergartners), parents or caregivers are kindly asked to provide water after class. No food or other drinks are allowed inside the studio for any dancer.
    • Please make sure you check for all your belongings before leaving the studio. Reach For The Barres is not responsible for items left behind or for lost or stolen valuables.
  • Nut & Seed Free Studio: To protect all our dancers, we are a strict NUT + SEED FREE STUDIO. If your child brings a packed snack or lunch (for camps or parties), please ensure it contains absolutely no nuts (peanuts, walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts/Nutella, cashews, pistachios, brazil nuts, or nuts of any kind) or seeds (including bars and butters like sun butter). This includes all nut butters and nut milks.

VI. PROGRAM-SPECIFIC AGREEMENTS

  • Year-End Show / Recital: All dancers are automatically opted into participating in our annual Year-End Recital. Please refer to the 2025-2026 End of the Year Show Policies for all details on dates, costume fees, potential additional recital fees, and the opt-out procedure and deadline.
  • Summer Camp Policies: Specific policies for our summer camp programs, including cancellation and refund details, are outlined in the SUMMER 2026 CAMP POLICIES.
  • Private Lessons: Specific payment and withdrawal terms for private lessons are detailed in the AutoPay Terms & Agreement Policy and the Withdrawal Policy & Financial Responsibility.
  • Company Programs: Specific payment schedules and terms for Spotlight Company Members and Connection Company Members are detailed in the AutoPay Terms & Agreement Policy.
  • Choreography Use Policy: Choreography taught at Reach For The Barres is our creative property. Please refer to our Choreography Use Policy for guidelines on using choreography for external performances and how we can support your dancer with custom routines.

 

VII. GENERAL STUDIO RIGHTS & AGREEMENT

  • Right to Refuse Service: We reserve the right to refuse service. Any family who cannot abide by or respect our policies and guidelines may be asked to leave at no cost to the studio, and without refund or credit.
  • Acknowledgement of Policies: By enrolling, you acknowledge that you have thoroughly read, fully understood, and agree to be bound by the terms of these Official Studio Policies. Your enrollment signifies your agreement to these Terms & Conditions, which will govern your child’s current and future participation in Reach For The Barres dance programs.
