As winter settles in, we’re reminded how powerful small acts of care can be. This season, Reach For The Barres is proud to partner with Selah Neighborhood Homeless Coalition for our 3rd annual Winter Clothing Drive, supporting neighbors in our community who are experiencing homelessness.

This year’s drive is hosted by our Season 11 RFTB Spotlight Company members, who are stepping beyond the studio with the shared hope of making a meaningful impact right here in our local community. Through this effort, our dancers are learning that leadership is not only about performance, it’s about service, empathy, and showing up for others.

Why This Matters

Warm clothing is more than a seasonal need. It offers comfort, dignity, and protection during the coldest months of the year. Selah works directly with unhoused individuals across Los Angeles, providing essential resources and long-term support rooted in compassion and connection. We are honored to continue this partnership for a third winter.

What We’re Collecting

We are accepting clean clothing in good condition, with a special need for men’s styles and sizes, including:

  • Coats & jackets

  • Sweaters

  • Pants

  • Shirts

  • Shoes

📅 Donations are being accepted through January 31

If it’s something you would gift a loved one, it’s something worth sharing here.

How to Participate

Donations can be dropped off at the studio during regular class times. Look for the Winter Clothing Drive bin, hosted with care by our Spotlight Company dancers.

For families looking to extend their support even further, the flyer included with this post features QR codes to:

  • View Selah’s wishlist

  • Volunteer your time

  • Make a direct donation

Thank You, RFTB Community

To our Spotlight Company dancers for leading with heart, and to our families for supporting this effort year after year — thank you. Together, we’re showing our dancers that reaching higher also means reaching outward, creating warmth, care, and connection beyond our studio walls.
