We’re bringing bold energy, sharp movement, and K-Pop confidence to the studio this January with our K-Pop Demon Hunters Pop-Up Series! This four-week, low-commitment class invites dancers ages 6–10 to explore stylized K-Pop choreography, musicality, and performance confidence inspired by How It’s Done, Soda Pop, and Golden.

Designed to build week-to-week, the series ends with a special in-class showcase for families — giving dancers a chance to shine, perform, and celebrate their growth. Whether your dancer is new to K-Pop or ready to try something fresh and empowering, this pop-up is all about expression, confidence, and having fun through movement.

Saturdays, January 10–31 | 2:00–3:00 PM

This month, we are so excited to celebrate a very special milestone. Ms. Elise’s one year anniversary with Reach For The Barres. From the moment she joined our team, Ms. Elise has brought an incredible amount of energy, warmth, and joy into the studio.

Ms. Elise’s upbeat spirit and love for performance made her anniversary theme an easy choice. Inspired by Taylor Swift’s Life of a Showgirl, we leaned into all things fun, expressive, and celebratory.

Over the past year, Ms. Elise has become a meaningful part of our community. She brings positivity into every room, cheers loudly for her dancers’ wins, and creates a space where kids feel confident, supported, and excited to dance. We see it in the smiles, the confidence building in class, and the way dancers light up when they see her.

Ms. Elise, thank you for the heart you bring to Reach For The Barres, for the energy you share so freely, and for helping our dancers feel like stars in their own showgirl era. We are so grateful to celebrate one year with you and cannot wait to see what the next chapter holds.

Here’s to one year of music, movement, and magic, and many more to come. 💗

Where practice becomes progress and dancers shine with confidence.

At Reach For The Barres, we love celebrating the moments when effort turns into accomplishment. These milestones show dancers what they are capable of and remind them that growth is something they can create for themselves through steady practice and intention.

This season, we are excited to introduce a new achievement milestone for dancers in Levels 1–5.

The Season 11 Pirouette Club

A special recognition for dancers who have developed the strength, alignment, and control needed to complete a clean, technically-sound pirouette.

Just like our Splits Club, the Pirouette Club offers dancers a meaningful goal to work toward both inside and outside the classroom. It highlights persistence, commitment, and the pride that comes from accomplishing something earned through effort and refinement.

When Do Dancers Begin Working on Pirouettes?

Pirouette foundations begin early at RFTB. Young dancers explore balance, posture, passé positions, and introductory turns in fun, age-appropriate ways. These experiences help create body awareness and confidence.

Pirouettes begin to take true focus in our Primary classes such as Ballet and Jazz, where dancers work on the essential components that make a pirouette possible. As dancers move into our Level 1–5 classes, technique, strength, and consistency deepen.

The Pirouette Club serves as a milestone that says, “I’ve put in the work, and I’ve made it.”

Dancers who qualify will receive:

• A limited-edition Pirouette Club patch
• Their place on our Pirouette Club Celebration Posts
• An invitation to our Seasonal Achievement Party to honor their accomplishment in person

For Parents: How to Support Your Dancer’s Goal

If your dancer hopes to earn their Pirouette Club patch, we are excited to partner with you. Achieving a pirouette requires more than a single weekly class, and small habits outside the studio make a big difference.

You can support your dancer by:
• Asking us for simple at-home drills or strengthening exercises
• Encouraging consistency and celebrating steady progress
• Helping them practice balance, spotting, and posture during short moments throughout the week

We love honoring both effort and achievement. When dancers build the habits that support their goals, they experience confidence and pride that lasts.

A Final Note

Every dancer’s timeline looks different. Some will achieve their clean pirouette this season. Others may be deepening the foundational skills that will help them reach this milestone next year. What matters most is that dancers feel supported, motivated, and excited about what they can accomplish.

Here’s to a season filled with turning, learning, and celebrating every meaningful step forward.
